Big Rain was formed in 2010 with original members Brandon Strange, Bob Wilhite, Steve Thomas, Ben Rohan, and Dave Johnson. In 2012 Francis Gomez joined the band full time as the drummer. In 2013 Matt Mitchell took over for Brandon Strange on vocals. Steve Thomas was the former keyboard player and founder of That 80s Band. Steve has played with many bands in his long career in STL.  Bob Wilhite was the long-time guitarist for Paint The Earth. He played the first 17 years of the existence of the band. He has also played with Shrinking Violets, The Others, Hollywood 5, and Elevation. Ben Rohan has performed with Elevation and many other bands. Francis Gomez has played drums with Trixie Delight, That 80s Band, and many other groups in STL.  Matt Mitchell has performed with many bands in St. Louis and Illinois. His range makes is possible for Big Rain to perform many different genres.
